Are you looking for auto insurance in Minnesota? You probably already have it or maybe you're looking for a different carrier or to save money. The insurance industry has created many opportunities for the consumer to go online, choose some options from a drop-down box, upload payment, and have coverage. In my experience working with clients on auto insurance, many times they don't understand or have never been taught about the product on which they're spending hundreds or even thousands of dollars a year! While I still prefer to talk to my clients and inform their choices, I've decided to start a short a series to break down some terms and choices.
This installment is on Liability Limits. Why are these so important? It provides coverage for other people and their property should you cause them harm. The State of Minnesota requires you to carry limits of 30/60/10 or higher. This means that you would have $30,000 of coverage for someone else's injuries in an accident up to a total of $60,000 for multiple people and $10,000 for someone else's property. Is $30,000 enough if you slide through a stop sign and hit someone? If they're driving a Suburban, will $10,000 of coverage be enough? Do you know what your limits are?
Other coverage options exist and they don't have to be that much more expensive. Call or email us today or fill out the quote information on this page and let's have a conversation about what makes sense for you!!
